Oasis SoloGen AI ("the App"), operated by Chisel Theory LLC ("we", "us", or "our"), is built with privacy as a core design principle. This Privacy Policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding your information.
1. Our Privacy Commitment
The App is designed to run entirely on your device after an initial one-time model download. We do not operate servers that process, store, or have access to your images, prompts, generated content, or usage patterns. Your creative work stays on your device.
2. Data We Do NOT Collect
The App does not collect, transmit, or store:
- Your images, photos, or generated content
- Your text prompts or negative prompts
- Your AI assistant (Howard) conversations
- Your editing history or mask data
- Face data, facial features, or biometric identifiers (see Section 6)
- Analytics, usage statistics, or telemetry data
- Device identifiers or fingerprints
- Location data
- Contacts, calendar, or other personal data
- Crash reports or diagnostic data
3. Data That Stays On Your Device
The following data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted:
- AI model files (stored in Application Support, excluded from iCloud backup)
- Generated images saved to your in-app gallery
- App settings and preferences
- In-app purchase status (verified on-device via StoreKit 2)
4. Network Activity
The App makes network connections only in two circumstances:
a) Initial Model Download
On first launch, the App downloads AI model files from oasissologen.com. This download includes no user data -- it is a one-way transfer of model files to your device. No cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics are involved. Once the download completes, the App functions fully offline.
b) In-App Purchase Verification
If you choose to purchase "Oasis Unlocked," the transaction is processed entirely by the Apple App Store. The App verifies your purchase status on-device using StoreKit 2's local JWS verification. No purchase data is sent to our servers (we do not operate any).
5. Photo Library Access
The App requests access to your photo library only when you choose to:
- Import a photo for editing (uses PHPicker, which does not grant broad library access)
- Save a generated image to your photo library
Photo library access is optional and controlled by iOS permissions. The App does not scan, index, or upload your photos.
6. Face Data
The App includes AI features that process images which may contain faces. This section explains how face data is handled.
What face data is processed:
- Face detection: The App uses Apple's Vision framework (VNDetectFaceRectanglesRequest) to detect face regions in generated or imported images. This returns only bounding-box coordinates — no facial feature maps, embeddings, or biometric identifiers are extracted.
- Face restoration: When enabled, the optional GFPGAN Core ML model enhances detected face regions (e.g., improving clarity and detail) by processing a 512×512 crop of each detected face.
- Image editing: The inpainting and image-to-image features can modify any region of an image, including regions that contain faces, based on the user's prompt and mask.
- Image understanding: The on-device AI assistant (Howard) can view and describe attached photos, which may contain faces.
How face data is used:
All face data processing occurs entirely on your device using Core ML and Apple's Vision framework. Face data is used solely to perform the specific feature the user initiates (face restoration, image editing, or image understanding). Face data is never used for facial recognition, identity verification, user profiling, advertising, or any purpose other than the immediate image processing task requested by the user.
Storage and retention:
Face data (bounding-box coordinates and pixel crops) exists only in temporary memory during processing and is discarded immediately after the operation completes. No face data is written to disk, cached, or persisted in any form. Only the final user-visible result image may be saved — to the in-app gallery or the user's photo library — at the user's explicit request.
Third-party sharing:
Face data is never shared with third parties. Face data is never transmitted off the device. Face data is never uploaded to any server, cloud service, or external API. We do not operate servers capable of receiving such data.
No biometric data:
The App does not create, store, or use facial feature maps, faceprints, facial embeddings, or any form of biometric identifier. The face detection used is limited to rectangular bounding-box coordinates for the sole purpose of locating face regions for image enhancement.
7. Third-Party Services
The App does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking services. The only third-party interaction is with the Apple App Store for in-app purchases, which is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is rated 17+ on the App Store. We do not knowingly collect or process data from children under 17. The App includes content filtering to prevent the generation of child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
9. Data Security
Because the App processes all data locally on your device, your content benefits from iOS's built-in security features including device encryption, app sandboxing, and secure enclave protection. We cannot access your data because it never leaves your device.
10. Data Retention and Deletion
All app data (generated images, settings, model files) is stored locally on your device. You can delete this data at any time by:
- Clearing your in-app gallery (Settings > Clear Gallery)
- Deleting the App, which removes all associated data including downloaded models
Since we do not collect or store any user data on our servers, there is no server-side data to request deletion of.
11. Your Rights
Because the App does not collect personal data, traditional data subject rights (access, rectification, erasure, portability) are inherently satisfied -- your data is already entirely under your control on your device. If you have questions or concerns, contact us at [email protected].
